What To Expect

Worship

We sing a blend of both modern worship songs and traditional hymns that purposefully point our attention to God’s vastness, goodness & love.

Bible Teaching

We teach verse-by-verse through whole books of the Bible at a time with the aim of practical application to everyday life.

Community

One of the things people often notice first is how friendly our church family is. Whether you stay for coffee and conversation after the service or simply head home, you’ll be welcomed without any pressure or expectations.

Whatever you’re comfortable wearing. You’ll see everything from jeans to dress clothes. Come as you are.

No. We’d love to meet you, but you won’t be asked to stand up or introduce yourself.

About 90 minutes.

There are several options for your kids. We offer a children’s area in the main sanctuary, so your children can play while you listen to the service. There’s also a family room where you can watch the service while caring for your little one. We also offer children’s ministry during the service, where kids can learn about Jesus in a safe and welcoming environment.

If you have a Bible, we encourage you to bring it. If you don’t, we have lots of extras that you can borrow or keep.

We share a building with the Lutheran Church-The Redeemer, so follow the signs for Abide. We are on the lower floor, so you’ll park in the back of the building.

New To Church?

Walking into a church for the first time can feel intimidating. If you’ve never attended a church service, or it’s been many years since you last visited one, you’re not alone. Many of the people who visit us have similar questions, and we’re glad you’re here.

You don’t need to know the songs, understand all the terminology, or have your life completely figured out before you come. Church is a place where people gather to worship God, learn from the Bible, encourage one another, and grow in their faith together.

Come just as you are. Listen, observe, ask questions if you’d like, and take things at your own pace. We hope you’ll feel comfortable as you get to know us.

New to church FAQs

Not at all. Our pastors explain the passage they’re teaching, and you don’t need any previous Bible knowledge to follow along.

No. Some people sing, while others simply listen and reflect. You’re welcome to participate in whatever way you’re comfortable.

That’s okay. You’re welcome to attend, listen, and ask questions. We want you to have the opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a respectful and welcoming environment.

No. Giving is an act of worship for those who call Abide their church home. As our guest, please don’t feel any obligation to give.

Absolutely. There’s no expectation that you’ll participate beyond what you’re comfortable with.

Children are welcome! We know kids are kids, and families are an extremely important part of our church community.
